Annette “Nettie” Brown November 5th, 1962- March 30th, 2021 Annette “Nettie” Brown, 58 years old of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by the love and support of her family on March 30th. Nettie met the love of her life Jim on the Seaside Boardwalk at the age of 15. They spent 43 years together, and the boardwalk still held a special place in their hearts. Nettie left behind her loving husband James, daughter Jamie and her husband Sean, her son Michael and his wife Rebecca, her son Tyler and his fiancé Sammy, her son Kevin, and her granddaughter Mila and granddaughter on the way Ellie Mae. She also leaves behind her loving mother, Emily, her sister Rene and her fiancé Bruce, and the countless friends who she considered family. She is predeceased by her amazing grandmother Bogumila Mazgalvins and we know they are now together again. Nettie was always a mom first and would do anything for her kids. She was always the “team mom” in any sports or activities they joined. She was always her kids’ number one fan. She was happiest when her kids were home so she could do as many “mom things” as possible. She truly had a special relationship with all 4 of her children. It was only fitting when her kids got a little older, she got a job at Westminster Nursey School. She worked there for many years and touched the hearts of so many children. Nettie couldn’t wait to be a Grammy and absolutely adored her granddaughter Mila. She may have only gotten a short time with her, but she cherished every second of it. She loved her kids and granddaughter with every ounce of her soul. Nettie was truly a special person, to know her was to love her. She loved having a full house and was always cooking for anyone who came over. She enjoyed hosting holidays and parties being with family and friends with a glass of white zinfandel. She loved to dance and sing and have a good time. She was a strong woman who always had a smile on her face no matter what life threw at her. She had a special way about her and made an impact on everyone she met. She will truly be missed by so many people. Mom, you were the best mom, the best friend, our biggest fan, and the person we could always look up to. We promise to celebrate your legacy with everything that we do in life. We hope you know just how loved and amazing you were. This world won’t be the same without you. Until we meet again, we love you more. Nettie never wanted anyone to mourn her, but instead she wanted her life to be celebrated. Therefore, a memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Monday April 5th at Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St. Toms River from 2-5pm. Nettie always wanted to help others and loved kids. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Jude’s in her honor.
