Barbara (Jastrzembska) Reddington of Whiting, New Jersey, passed away on April 14, days after her 72nd birthday. Born in Germany after the war, she immigrated with her parents and sister as a young child and grew up in Jersey City. She worked in her family's corner store, attended James J. Ferris High School, and earned her bachelor's degree in business from St. Peter's College. She was a talented singer, songwriter, and guitar player and a lifelong animal lover. The job she was most proud of was being "Mom" to her girls. She was predeceased by her parents, Borys and Natalie Jastrzembski. She is survived by her boyfriend, Mike Kennedy; daughter Kitty Reddington and her partner, Tom Lee; daughter Elizabeth Reddington and her husband, Sergio Suarez; grand-daughter Natalie Suarez; sister Christina Jastrzembska and her partner Patrick Hall; and nieces Alexandra Jastrzembska and Elisa Hall and their families. Family and friends are invited to remember Barbara at a celebration of life on Saturday, April 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals in Whiting, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara's name to the Popcorn Park Animal Refuge in Forked River, New Jersey.
