Claire C. Marshalleck 1929 - 2022 In Loving Memory of Claire C. Marshalleck who passed at the age of 92 peacefully in her sleep at Community Medical Hospital on January 28, 2022 surrounded by her family. Claire C. Marshalleck was born on April 6,1929 in Kingston, Jamaica. She came to the United States at 18 years of age. She raised 7 children with her husband Frank in New York City and Long Island. She was a talented seamstress making much of the clothes through the years for her family from scratch. Her skill led her to work at the Bali Corporation in their prototype division. Even after working all day, she would still sew on her own time. At one point she even started a small tailoring business. After her beloved husband’s passing, and her retirement from Bali, she moved to New Jersey under the loving care of her one of her daughters Laurette Marshalleck. In New Jersey she avidly went to the Toms River Senior Center three times a week where she enjoyed pokeno and bingo with her friends. She traveled to the Center by her beloved Ocean County Transportation - Ocean Ride. She loved all the Drivers dearly and they loved her. She was a member of the Toms River Elks, where she still enjoyed sewing, puzzles, dining out, getting her nails done and facials. She is survived by her children, Valerie and husband, Keith Peters with their three children Kitara, Keithara and Trent and their children, Marlene Marshalleck, Laurette Marshalleck, Katrina Marshalleck and her daughter Margeaux Hoover, her sons Luther Marshalleck and Ivan Marshalleck and his wife, Margaret Jones and their sons, David and Alexander. Claire was predeceased by her second oldest daughter Patricia Marshalleck-Goldstein. Funeral will be at Calverton National Military Cemetery in Calverton, Wading River, NY 11792, Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 1:30 pm. A 'Celebration of Life' for Claire will be at her home in Tom’s River at a time to be determined in the near future.
