Elio Sierchio, 88, passed peacefully into the next life on Tuesday, February 23rd. Elio worked as a loan officer for First National State Bank in Newark, but he would want to be remembered most as a family man. His wife Maryann has been at his side since 1951. They married in 1953 and raised three children together. Elio shared countless dinners and holidays surrounded by his ever growing family which now includes 6 grandchildren and 4 great grand children. Grandpa Elio will always be remembered with a warm smile on his face and for his sweet disposition. His family will forever miss his tomato pies, home made raviolis, and most of all his love for life and wonderful sense of humor. Elio is survived by his devoted bride Maryann Sierchio, Daughters: Maureen Sierchio Winney and Debra Sierchio Hutman, son: Tommy Sierchio, Grandchildren: Kristin Hutman, Brandon Sierchio, Kyle Sierchio, Cory Sierchio, Casey Sierchio, Michael Hutman III, and Ryan Winney: six great grandchildren, son-in laws: Michael Hutman II and David Winney, daughter-in-law: Donna Sierchio, Brother: Rocco Sierchio and a loving extended family. He is pre-deceased by his parents Rocco and Vera Sierchio, and his brothers: Daniel Sierchio & Carmine Sierchio. Services are under the direction of Carmona-Bolen home for Funerals, Toms River, A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 26, 2021 11:30am at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Hooper Ave, Toms River.
