Gail E. Capoano

April 12, 2022

Gail E. Capoano, age 78 of Toms River, died peacefully Tuesday, April 12th with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Born in Lyndhurst, NJ she grew up in Brick Township prior to moving to Toms River over 50 years ago. Throughout her career she was employed as an Administrative Assistant for Brick Township Schools, Woodlake Country Club, Squires Pub, and the Toms River Regional School District before her retirement in 2017. Gail loved her family and friends dearly. She was a kind, loving, and generous friend to all, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed her. Through the years, Gail prided herself on being the best babysitter for the children of her family and friends. Their “Aunt Gail” was special to each one of them. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, solving word searches, having yard sales, and spending time in the kitchen. Her pumpkin cheesecake was rated one of the best! Anyone who stopped by to visit never left her home hungry. She had an infectious laugh and a wonderful sense of humor. She loved joking around with her “best son-in-law”. To know Gail was to truly love her. She will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched along the way. Gail was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Elizabeth Aversa; sisters Lorraine Cotten and Arlene Lusk and brothers-in-law George Lusk and Robert Cotten. Gail is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Ted Machcinski; her extended family of cousins, brother-in-law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a wonderful circle of friends who already miss her. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8pm at Carmona Bolen for Funerals, 412 Main Street Toms River. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10:30 am at St. Mary’s of the Lake, 43 Madison Ave., Lakewood. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Toms River Animal shelter, 235 Oak Ave., Toms River NJ 08753 or Michael’s Feat PO Box 787 Matawan, NJ 07747
