John Frederick Cahill

John Frederick Cahill of Bayville died on March 25, 2022, at AristaCare in Whiting. He was 74. Born in Neptune City, he was the son of Vincent Cahill and Arlene Winters Cahill. John was raised in Spring Lake Heights and graduated from Manasquan High School. In his younger days, he enjoyed swimming, diving, boating, playing the guitar, fixing all things electronic, but most of all, flying. He met and married Betty Jane (Janie) Plummer, and the couple moved to Bayville, where they resided until their deaths. John was a welder and member of the plumbers and pipefitters union. He eventually began his own video production company, which he operated with his wife Janie until his retirement. For several years, John and Janie also produced a local television ministry series, Word Alive Ministries. John was predeceased by his wife Janie in 1999 and his son Sean in 2002. He is survived by his sisters, Susan Cahill and Joanne Raimann and her husband Fred Raimann, his niece Lisa Bianco, great niece Cecilia Ball, and his two nephews, Brian Raimann and Dale Raimann. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Ocean County Memorial Park.
