Lorraine Sudia

Lorraine Sudia, age 81 of Whiting, died Saturday, Jan. 7 at Crestwood Manor, Whiting. Born in Kearny, she lived in Lyndhurst and Brick prior to moving to Whiting 20 years ago. She was employed as a Code Enforcer/ Inspector for the Township of Brick for 15 years until her retirement in 1994. She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Edward P. Sudia. Lorraine is survived by her children, Dr. Jay LaGuardia and his wife, Dr. Pamela LaGuardia, Cheryl Smith and her husband, Dennis, Judylyn LaGuardia, and Harry LaGuardia; her grandchildren, Taralyn L.Maddalone, Sean Smith and his wife, Michelle, Alicia Smith, Dr. Alyse LaGuardia-Hall and her husband, Dr. Edward Hall, Anthony LaGuardia, Taylor Rose LaGuardia Melissa Harilaou and Matthew Spinelli and his wife, Lisa. She is also survived by her step children, Judy Spinelli and Joyce Tom and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 2-4 & 7-9pm at The Family Owned” Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 66 Lacey Rd., Whiting. A funeral service will be held Wednesday 11am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Whiting Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation at www.pdf.org.
