Meghan Eileen Moore, 53, of Wanaque NJ passed away surrounded by family and friends on June 10, 2021 at Community Medical Center in Toms River NJ after a sudden and brief illness. Born at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville NJ, Meghan grew up in Fayson Lakes, Kinnelon, NJ before residing in Wanaque NJ and spending recent time in Whiting NJ with local family and friends. Meghan was a smart witty and loyal friend to all who knew her with an eclectic and vast love of music inherited from her father, attending hundreds of live performances and concerts throughout her lifetime of notable musicians and bands with her chosen family of close friends. Meghan was a graduate of Our Lady of the Magnificat Catholic School (1982), Kinnelon, DePaul Catholic High School (1986), Wayne, and William Paterson University (1990) Wayne with degrees in History and Teaching. Meghan also earned her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mary Grove University (2004). Her life’s mission was to instill in young children a life-long love of learning, while nurturing their personal and emotional growth to reach their highest potential. Meghan carried out this mission as a teacher for the Center for Family Resources of Passaic County, most recently as the site coordinator for the PCVTS-Head Start Site in Wayne NJ. Meghan was a mentor and friend to countless colleagues, families, and children throughout her 33 year career. Meghan was a, kind, gentle, loving, soft-hearted soul who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, her dog, Olive, doing arts and crafts, listening to great music, going on wine tours and visiting tea houses, eating good food, going to museums, and beating her sister at Jeopardy almost all the time. Meghan is pre-deceased by her Mother, Eileen (McIntyre Moore) Presing, her Father, John A. Moore, and step-father, William Presing, Maternal grandparents A. Gerard McIntyre and Agnes (Albohn) McIntyre, Paternal grandparents John Moore and Marie (Colvin) Moore as well as a number of aunts and uncles. Meghan Leaves behind her sisters, Erin (Moore) Zaretski and Brother-in-law Alan Zaretski of Beachwood NJ, Ruth (Presing) Broderick and Brother-in-Law Phil Broderick of Ringwood NJ as well as beloved nephews and niece, Luke Broderick, Shannon Broderick, and Aidan Coss, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Additionally, she leaves behind her closest friend Clare Coss, a large circle of life-long beloved friends who were her chosen family, and numerous colleagues and children enriched by her care. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 66 Lacey Road, Whiting NJ, 08759 (732-350-0003; www.carmonabolenfh.com) Catholic Mass of burial will be said on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 10:45 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, All Saints Chapel, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ 08759, with private cremation following.
