Theresa Manna

December 23, 1924 - August 4, 2019

Theresa Manna 94, (nee Miglionico) loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully at the Haven in Toms River NJ on August 4,2019. Also fondly known as Tess by her older siblings she was born in Newburg, New York the youngest child to Maria Palermo Miglionico and Dominick Miglionico in 1924. Her family moved to Newark where she graduated from Barringer High School. After high school she worked for the NJ Compensation Insurance. As a young woman she enjoyed a wonderful social life skating, dancing, hiking and bike riding with her friends. She was the person one always went to for good advice. She was an expert cook and baker making wonderful meals on a budget for her family while working full time in retail. She worked in Bloomfield center at the Pink and Blue clothing store, was a manager at Mandies Shop and then worked at the Lady Janes Dress shop. In 1951 she married the late Vincent James Manna raising four children over the next 23 years. She is predeceased by her son Guy Manna and a daughter Laura Manna. Also predeceased by her sisters Jean Mazzanna and husband Rocco, Anne Cassie and husband Anthony, and brothers Tony Miglionico and wife Lee, and Kenny Miglionico and wife Josephine, and her nephew Robert Cassie. She is survived by her loving daughters Sylvia Czaplicki and husband Maurice and Maria McCready and husband Larry and grandchildren Byron Joseph Czaplicki and Laura Wood and husband Mitch and Matthew McCready and great grandson Cameron Wood and many many loving nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 10am - 12pm at "The Family Owned" Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals located at 412 Main St., Toms River, NJ 08753. A memorial service will be held at 11:30am at the funeral home on Thursday, August 8, 2019. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date. Condolences can be sent to: [email protected]
