Deacon Thomas A Genovese

Thomas A. Genovese (Deacon Tom of the St. Joseph Parish), age 77 passed quietly at his home on Sunday, Dec. 6. Born in Brooklyn, Thomas grew up in East Windsor, and later lived happily in Toms River and Manchester for many years. Thomas was an Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War working at the Pentagon. Later, he was employed as a manager with McGraw Hill Publishing where he worked for 45 years. In retirement Thomas was ordained Deacon in the Catholic Church and worked to serve his parish community. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Jessica Rose Genovese, and is survived by his loving wife, Diane; his sons, John and Michael and 4 grandchildren, Joey, Julie, Lillianna and Tommy. A memorial service will be held at the St. Joseph Church in January at a date yet to be determined. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River.
