Thomas Hendershot

My beloved husband Thomas E. Hendershot, aged 60, of Whiting passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022, peacefully at home. Tom was born on June 1, 1961, in Morristown, NJ, and he lived in Whippany prior to moving to Whiting 5 years ago. He was employed as a maintenance worker with Morris County Park Commission for 30 years. He was an avid bike rider, enjoyed fishing and boating, appreciated trains, had a great passion for gardening, and he loved listening to music. He enjoyed trips to Jenkinson's Pavilion and walking the boardwalk. Tom also had a soft spot for his 2 cats Ivory and Ebony. He was predeceased by his father Elmer Hendershot. Tom is survived by his loving wife Eileen Hendershot, his mother Margaret Hendershot, his brother Jeffrey Hendershot and his wife Mary, his sister Donna McCullough and her husband Chuck, his nieces Courtney and Candice McCullough, and his nephew Ryan McCullough. He is also survived by many other loving family members and friends. Please join us for a Celebration of Tom's Life on Friday, June 24 from 2 PM to 4 PM.
